Sycamore Arts is a growing non-profit arts agency serving Tate and surrounding counties. Our mission is to encourage new and existing organizations to foster new artistic experiences within the community and to make cultural activities and arts education accessible to all. In addition to offering programs as a part of an annual presentation season, SA works with area schools, churches, and civic organizations to provide arts education programs, youth summer camps and artistic residencies.

For 25 years, Sycamore Arts has remained the only Tate County organization consistenly offering quality arts events and arts education to our community. Our success is based on your commitment to our objectives. We remain grateful for your support and it is our hope you will find our upcoming programs and projects worthy of your attention.

• Continue Liaison Board for better communication with community at large.
• “Arts in Commerce” – Complete Arts in Industry Pilot Project at Independence High School
• “Pickin’ in the Park” – Family Music in Gabbert Park! – this year we will be part of MayFair
• Support Convalescent Home Pottery Program
• Annual Christmas Musicale – Senatobia Jr. High Auditorium – December
• Juried Art Show & Contest w/Artists Network of North Mississippi – March 2008
• Spring Music Concert – Featuring musicians and vocalists with our Steinway Piano! SJH Auditorium – April 2008
• Annual Members Special Gala – Fun, Food, Music and Amazing Auction Items! – Date & Venue TBA (Become a member and find out what its all about!)

• Continue NWCC Art Students’ Scholarship Supply Fund
• Partial Sponsorship of Como Opera Guild Student Tour
• Continue Sherri Marshall Pottery In-School Residency – Strayhorn Schools and Magnolia Heights
• Blues in the Schools Residency Program – December 2007 – March 2008
• Provide Music Classes at Senatobia Elementary School – 2nd Semester , January 2008
• Partner w/Baddour Center for School Presentations
• 4th Annual County-Wide Judged Student Art Contest w/Show at NWCC Atrium March 24 - 28, 2008
• Coldwater Mural Project w/Student Artists
• Arts Retreat – Area School Administrators; Librarians; Art and Music Instructors – April 2008
• Art Camp w/NWCC Kids Kollege – June 2008
• Youth Library Series at Senatobia and Coldwater Libraries featuring “The Buffalo Soldier” – Summer 2008
